traverse city for bon appetit

Scenes from Traverse City, Michigan for Bon Appetit Magazine, May 30-June 1, 2011. I had the pleasure of photographing the Traverse City region for a little story in Bon Appetit about how chef Mario Batelli spends his summers. It was my first time in the area and I must say, it’s a great destination! So many great good & beverage options along with generally beautiful scenery. Documenting the area while dodging hail storms in the springtime made for a bit of a challenge, considering the story was to run in the summer months, but in the end I was happy with the results.
